Bella's birth was such a beautiful, calm and peaceful experience. We were blessed to have Matt's mom come out a few days before the delivery, it was so nice to be able to have her here for the experience and the peace of mind knowing Grace was so well taken care of. We headed to the hospital around 6:30 and by 8:00 I was all hooked up and ready to go. I was blessed to have one of my greatest friends here in Oklahoma, Cathy as my delivery nurse. She was FABULOUS. Unfortunately I was only dilated to a one when I came in, and at noon I was still only about a four. Bella was face up so they thought that may be why it was taking awhile to progress, she finally decided to turn and within twenty minutes I went from a five to a ten. Dr. Goff had left to do a c-section at another hospital so we waited for about a half hour (thank heaven for the epidural!:).
It was really amazing to watch the birth (with Grace I went natural and didn't watch) although I must say it is really hard to push through tears, after just a couple minutes she was here! Words can't express the feelings you have holding your child for the first time. She was so perfect and beautiful, I fell in love the minute I saw her. We went through a lot to get Miss Bella here, after she was born Dr. Goff gave me a big hug. He was so encouraging through the miscarriages, I feel so blessed to have such a capable and encouraging doctor.
Here is a picture overload of Bella's birthday, but if ever there is an excuse for a lot of pictures this is it...
Luke and Sam drew some awesome pictures for Bella.
The happy, happy big sister! She picked out a few gifts for Bella and brought them to the hospital,
she was absolutely thrilled about it! She picked out a football and jewelry, ha ha.
Yep, my face about sums it up. We are working on being "soft". :)
Me and my girls.
Going home! Grandma B made this sweet coming home sign, so nice. We are all completely wrapped up in this little angel so when I can pry myself away from her I'll post some video of her big day.
